Photo 1: Mustang
For this photo, I captured the back of my grandfather's car during the day for my Line and Shape project for the first term. This photo displays the compositional aspects of line, pattern, point of view, leading lines, rule of thirds, and color. I chose to take the photo from a lower point of view that was level with the back of the car. The lines on the headlights lead your eye throughout the photo and the color of the car really creates a good feeling with the mood. Some Technical aspects include color balance, exposure, and focus. I focused on the car, let in a little bit more light and balanced the color evenly to create a good visual. Lastly, the image also displays some artistic qualities like an interesting point of view for example and maybe a feeling of intrigue or curiosity. This is because it makes the viewer question what the picture is and where it was taken.

Photo 3: Water Faucet
For my Depth of Field project, I decided to take a picture of a faucet on the side of my house that captured detail in the faucet while making the background blurry. This image displays the composition concepts of texture, point of view, depth of background, framing, color, and distance. The point of view for this image is from a level angle to the faucet and the color of the faucet did not change. I chose to make the background out of view to create a detailed sense of view on the faucet. The technical aspects include a shallow depth of field and focus. I tried to make the image display a shallow point of view to get the texture of the faucet in focus. Lastly some artistic qualities include an interesting point of view and a sense of time because of the wear on the faucet.

Photo 5: Natural light Portrait
For my in class project we had to take studio portraits with different lighting aspects such as black light, white light, 1 light, 2 lights, and for this photo I used natural light. I changed the color of the image to black and white, and cropped the border because of what was included in the portrait. Some compositional aspects include rule of thirds, framing, and black & white. I wanted to make sure the subject was not in the middle of the picture to make sure that it used the rule of thirds and I also wanted to eliminate whatever was on the side of the image to just include the subject. Lastly I also wanted to change the color to black and white to display that the light was coming from the subject's right side. Technical aspects in this photo include Black and white, lighting, and contrast. The image is Black & White, the lighting from the side represents the lighting aspect, and the contrast from one side of the subject to the other, one being darker than the other. Lastly the photo displays a mood of mystery for the artistic qualities, because it makes the viewer think about why the subject is in such a depressed mood.
