Line and Shape (unedited)

Black and White Reflection
The photos start from 1 -6 chronologically left to right
I chose to shoot most of my edited photos at school. My other photos that I did not get to edit were taken at the beach, on vacation, and while kayaking. I took a lot of photos that incorporated the aspect of line and shape from which we learned in class. My photos include a bunch of different point of views that include bird's eye, worm's eye, and regular straight point of view. I tried to incorporate the rule of thirds into as many photos as possible, the bike rack photo and the close up rock photo incorporate the rule. I believe that the photo with the supporting beams best leads the viewer's eye through the photo. I think the photo with the cobblestone bricks is the best photo that is the most dynamic composition for showing shape. I think that because it repeats a shape that is showing repeatedly in the photo.

I think my best photo is of the cracked window in the alleyway. It is simply just a window that has bars and cracks in it, but that is not just the only part of the photo. It also includes a lot of texture with the peeling paint on the walls next to it. I chose to take this photo a little later at night so the sun would not overcrowd the image. Since the window was above me when i tok the photo, i must have taken photo from below. I did not really choose this point of view i just worked with where the window was placed. I should have used the rule of thirds but in this photo i chose not to use the rule. I made sure the light did not flood the image, but i also made sure there was some light to capture the detail in the window. I feel the image of the grate at the bottom right uses pattern best to lead the eye through the image because of all the lines being displayed. I think the photo of the telephone post at the top left is the most dynamic photo for showing texture because it includes rusted and withered staples which is known to the eye to feel hard and ridged.
